Hi, I'm Kelvin.

From AutoCAD to Figma. Crafting exceptional experiences from the foundations up.

I build products people actually use and systems teams can rely on. Whatever is needed: research, design, ops, delivery, I'm here to deliver results.

About

Ten years across design and sales, most of them deep in UX. Trained as an architect, I truly believe in the words “form follows function” which is a core tenant of UX. I work from the foundations up, designing systems from scratch and managing them so teams move faster with less friction between idea and delivery.

At Fitness Passport I built and shipped a design system from the ground up across product and tech, ensuring velocity, consistency and scalability. At Reece I led UX across mutiple teams simultaneously, ran research operations, and helped define the design system for the maX platform across web, Android, and iOS.

Outside of design you can find me snowboarding, lion dancing, taking photos or painting little toy soldiers.

Experience

Senior Product Designer

Fitness Passport2025 - Present

Leading product design for the employer experience at Fitness Passport, working across teams and stakeholders from small businesses to large corporates. I own the design system end to end, from zero to adoption across design and engineering. Beyond the system, I mentor junior designers and ship measurable work: a redesigned onboarding flow that improved conversion by 10% and removed glaring legal risks, a rebuilt map built for scale and mobile, an internal tool that cut operational costs by over $20k a year and a redesigned approval process that reduced manual approvals by over 50%.

UX Designer

reecetech2021 - 2024

Led UX across the Finding Products and Ordering Products teams at Reece, helping customers find what they need from a catalogue of over 300,000 products. Worked across research, design operations, and education, running governance practices, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and delivering UX programs for both staff and placement students. Shipped across the full maX platform: a data-driven substitutions solution for discontinued products, a visual overhaul of the maX web and mobile experience, and a product information management system built with cross-functional teams. Hackathon 2023 winner, People's Choice 1st and 2nd place.

Architectural Assistant

Denton Corker Marshall2019 - 2021

At DCM I worked across large scale infrastructure, education, and architectural competition projects in China. My most significant contribution was as part of the team that delivered the bid for North East Link, Victoria's largest infrastructure project, where I held ownership of the structural, noise wall, and buildings packages end to end. Alongside delivery I managed documentation control, produced presentations, and developed standard drawing packages across plans, sections, elevations, and details for multiple concurrent projects.

This site is built on FolioLite, a free open source template by Tim Dyson. I could have used a drag and drop builder. Instead I used this as an opportunity to get closer to the code, understanding how design decisions translate into real implementations.

In a world where AI is collapsing the gap between design and engineering, knowing how to navigate both sides of that fence is no longer optional. The designers who thrive will be the ones who can speak the language, even if they are not writing it from scratch.

Good systems exist to be built on. So I did.
